Caffe Gelato Blog: Join us for our Argentina Wine Maker’s Dinner on Thursday, September 20th!

Argentinian street food is a much underrated form of Latin American cuisine. From empanadas to bondiolas to dulce de leche, the flavors of this country are both diverse and incredibly delicious. Not to mention their wine – believe it or not, Argentina has become one of the most popular wine destinations over the past decade. A relaxing glass of Torrontes or Sauvignon Blanc paired with some asado is often enjoyed in the company of friends. Can’t make it to Argentina anytime soon? Caffe Gelato is holding an Argentine Wine Maker’s Dinner right here in Newark!

With guest speaker and native Tomas Machado, our wine maker’s dinner features a full 7-course meal with a variety of signature Argentinian dishes. Featuring “sandwich miga” with Jamon Serrano and melted Manchego, a house-crafted potato gnocchi with sweet corn and Lima beans, and an exclusive “dolce di latte” gelato served with carmelized bananas, you’ll get to experience a unique blend of traditional Argentina coupled with our Mediterranean-inspired flair! We’ll also feature several Aymara wines to complete the courses.

The meal begins at 6:30pm and reservations are $69 per person. To make a reservation, please call (302) 533-0201 or pre-register online at You can also save $10 if you register for at least 2 out of the 3 wine maker’s dinner series!
